- Musicians of any age or genre who wish to develop their skills and contribute to promoting music in the community. Individuals or groups of five members or fewer are eligible; groups that are a formal part of an institution such as a school are not eligible. Musicians living outside the defined South Kaipara community area must have a geographic connection such as attending music lessons locally or being a member of a musical group based in the area.

Summary
The scholarship provides $3,000 annually to musicians to develop their skills and contribute to community music activities in the South Kaipara area. Eligibility
There is no limit on the genre or style of music, or on the age of applicants. However, groups of more than five members, and groups that are a formal part of an institution such as a school, are not eligible to apply.
